The round “Determination of 3-amino-2-oxazolidinone (AOZ) content in honey” of the professional level verification programme AMP-2024 “HONEY – ANTIMICROBIALS” was completed

 

The round “Determination of 3-amino-2-oxazolidinone (AOZ) content in honey” of the professional level verification programme AMP-2024 “HONEY – ANTIMICROBIALS”, performed by the National Reference Laboratory for Control of Residual Amounts of Active Ingredients of Veterinary Preparations and Feed Additives of the Testing Centre of the State Scientific-Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medicinal Products and Feed Additives as a provider accredited according to ISO/IEC 17043:2017, was completed.

Seven participants took part in the round: six laboratories from Ukraine and one laboratory from the Republic of Moldova (one of the laboratories submitted two results obtained by different methods).

According to the statistical analysis, 75% of the results of the participating laboratories were found to be satisfactory and 25% of the results were found to be unsatisfactory; no questionable results were identified.

It should be noted that a participant whose laboratory has a quality management system in place and has received satisfactory results in several rounds of proficiency testing schemes has the right to use its results as evidence of its ability to consistently produce reliable test results. Therefore, all participants are encouraged to participate in subsequent rounds.
