On July 11-23, 2022 15th International Summer School on Quality Assurance in a Testing Laboratory (ISO/IEC 17025) was carried out on the basis of Analytical Chemistry Expert Centre, Faculty of Chemistry, Biological and Chemical Research Centre (CNBCh) of University of Warsaw and took place in the facility of European Centre for Geological Education of the University of Warsaw in Chęciny (Poland). This summer school is managed by “Measurement Science in Chemistry” (MSC) consortium of European universities. It started as an EU funded project and took place for the first time in 2008 in Celje (Slovenia). So far, there have been 433 participants, from 54 different countries in 4 different continents.

The scientists of our Institute Dr. Mariana Rydchuk and Dr. Serhiy Plotytsia (National Reference Laboratory of Veterinary Drug Residues Control), and MSc Olha Dushna (Laboratory of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) were the participants of this Summer School together with other alumni of Analytical Chemistry Department of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and got the Certificates of Attendance. The acquired knowledge and practical skills will sufficiently improve the management and routine laboratory practice in our analytical laboratories, accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025.

The EuroResidue conferences aim to cover all aspects of veterinary drug residues control. Special attention is paid to the latest developments related to the detection and determination of drug residues in food, feed and other relevant matrices and in pharmaceutical and toxicological studies, as part of the registration and regulation of veterinary drugs.

EuroResidue conferences have been held since 1990: in 1993, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016. The last meeting was held in Ghent, Belgium (8th International Symposium on Hormone and Veterinary Drug Residue Analysis, which is a supplement to the EuroResidue series) in 2018. In the framework of the last two conferences of the EuroResidue series in 2016 and 2018, the research materials of the National Reference Laboratory of Veterinary Drug Residues Control were presented regarding the cases of detection of residues of dextramycin, an enantiomer of chloramphenicol, in honey.

The administration of the State Scientific Research Control Institute of Veterinary Medicinal Products and Feed Additives and the scientists of the National Reference Laboratory of Veterinary Drug Residues Control express their sincere gratitude to the Organizing and Scientific Committee of EuroResidue ІХ and personally to Dr. Aldert Bergwerff, Dr. L.A. van Ginkel, Dr. Saskia Sterk & Dr. Sanne van den Biggelaar for their sincere help, support and financial aid, without which the participation of Ukrainian delegation in this conference and the presentation of the poster materials https://www.euroresidue.eu/posters-2022/coccidiostats would not have been possible.
